1960 IMPERIAL LEBARON, 100% RUST
FREE ARIZONA CAR WITH A LOT OF OPTIONS.
This rare car came from Nogales, Arizona on the
Mexican border where it belonged to a collector who
owned a lot of old cars. He passed away 3 years ago
and the relatives just sold the car. They claim the
mileage showing, 25.000 miles is correct but there
is no way of knowing.
The seller did pull the valve covers to inspect the
upper part of the engine before starting the engine
and he said it was very clean under the valve
covers. The engine starts and runs very well.
The Imperial has a lot of options, even for a luxury
car like a LeBaron.
PS, PB of course, PW, P-vent windows, P-door locks,
6 way P-seat, dual AC, one up front and one in the
trunk, tinted glass, automatic headlight dimmer,
signal seeking radio, stainless panels on the roof
etc, etc.
The wide white wall tires have no miles on them but
they are somewhat dry.
The master cylinder is brand new and there’s new
brake shoes in a box inside the car, the brakes do
work fine though.
The seller had pulled one door panel and lubed the
power window mechanism in that door and they work
fine now, the same should be done on the other 3
doors.
It would be relatively easy to turn the car into a
driver, but to make it a show car it will need a
paint job (no rust repair though anywhere), interior
and some exterior trim should be replaced.
Very rare and fun car.
