1965 CHRYSLER 300L CONVERTIBLE, ONE OF TWELVE 4
SPEED CONVERTIBLES MADE!
This might be the best of the 12 four speed manual
transmission Chrysler 300L convertibles made!
Out of the twelve 4 speed convertibles there’s only
a handful left and I doubt there better one
anywhere.
The car has spent the last 5+ years being restored
from a very good car to an exceptional car, cost
being no concern.
The body received a super nice (and very expensive)
paint job in the original color, black. The paint
was color sanded and polished and the body is today
way nicer than when the car left the factory in
1965.
The chrome was triple plated and the stainless
polished.
The engine was totally rebuilt by the premiere Mopar
engine builder in the south west, transmission was
rebuilt, new clutch, throw out bearing and flex
plate etc, etc.
Recored radiator, rebuilt suspension, dual exhaust
slightly larger than the original.
After the restoration shop changed direction the car
was put in storage and we are now finishing up the
job. We are installing the last chrome and stainless
trim, next the engine and transmission will be
reinstalled.
The original black leather interior is almost mint
but since there’s a new, 100% correct leather
interior for the car we will have it installed and
also a new black convertible top.
The car is so rare, I think there’s only one other
for sale anywhere, it is a nice but not restored
car.
440 300L convertibles were ever made and again, on
of twelve 4 speed convertibles, one of the rarest
60’s Chrysler cars made.
