1960 MGA 1500 ROADSTER
Very nice southern California/Arizona car, NOT a car
from the rust states.
The MGA was owned by a man in SoCal since the 90’s
who sold it to his friend in Arizona 5 years ago,
who can’t drive it anymore and it is now available.
The car is in very good, almost excellent condition.
It was repainted in the original red color while in
California, it is still a nice but not perfect paint
job.
Very good black interior with only a few small
imperfections. The previous owner did buy a complete
De Luxe interior kit in light brown, door panels,
leather seat covers, a 20-piece carpet set, armrest
between the seats etc. The new interior is still in
the boxes it came in. You can choose to install it
or sell it!
The body is excellent, the structure is excellent,
most chrome is new. The black convertible top is
very nice.
The engine runs great, the transmission is newly
rebuilt, everything in the brake system is new,
carburetors have been rebuilt, new radiator and much
more.
The previous owner really liked to buy new parts for
the car and he spent a lot of money doing just that
but he did not drive it all that much.
He kept spreadsheets on everything he did with the
car, service, repair, new parts bought etc.
When he decided to take the MGA to a local car show
he started a month before the show and pulled the
engine to clean and paint it and went from there,
cleaning and servicing the car. And he kept a
spreadsheet on what he did every day up until the
day of the show! The spreadsheet is still with the
car.
Unless you are looking for a full-blown show car
this one is nice, great running and can be used as
is for a long time. Again, it is a dry and warm
weather car, not a car that spent its life in rust
country.
There’s a fair amount of parts that go with the car,
the new interior kit, some new chrome, an extra
differential, books, side curtains and must more.
The MGA is in Phoenix, Arizona
